Research: Energy efficiency in NSW social housing
13/06/2018
Researchers at UNSW Sydney (The University of New South Wales), the University of Wollongong, CSIRO and the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage are seeking volunteer research participants to learn about the energy efficiency and thermal comfort levels of public and community housing in NSW.
Anyone who is a social housing tenant anywhere in New South Wales can be a part of this research.
What would happen if I took part in the research study?
If you decide to take part we will visit your home twice (in May 2018 and February 2019) to perform an assessment of your home. This will involve:
• answering questions about your energy bills, and health/well-being impacts
• allowing us to do a walk-around of your hon1e to check for leaks/rots/draughts, and
• place a sensor in your home to take temperature measurements for about 12 months (until February 2019)
You will be given a $25 Coles/Myer gift voucher after each visit as a thank you - total $50.
If you would like more information or are interested in being part of the study please contact the researchers directly:
