Public housing tenants know all too well the serious problems with our housing stock. We also know that there is an ongoing, systemic failure by DCJ Housing to do the repairs needed, even when ordered to do so by the Tribunal. The resources on this page may help. David and Goliath: One tenant’s 14-year battle for repairs

David Bott One public housing tenant's long-running battle in the Tribunal shone a light on the systematic failure of DCJ Housing (previously FACS Housing) to do necessary repairs. After 14 years, they made the necessary repairs, but only after getting dangerously close to being found in contempt of the Tribunal. Thanks to David’s tenacity, his case has also paved the way for significant changes to the way DCJ will deal with repairs issues.
