Dear …

Re: Listing on database

On [date] I applied for a tenancy at [address] and was rejected.

I suspect that I was rejected due to being listed on a tenant database. If this is true, then your agency is required under section 211 of the Residential Tenancies Act 2010 to write to me within 7 days and provide the following details:

-    confirmation that I am listed

-    the details of the landlord/agent who listed me

-    how to contact the database operator to find out what information it holds about me

-    how and in what circumstances I can have the information removed or amended.

Please provide this information to me as soon as possible.

Yours sincerely

[T Tenant]
