This year the social housing, tenancy and affordable housing spheres faced a range of challenges, including the decision to no longer fund two separate resource services for older tenants and residential park residents; the sale of Millers Point, Dawes Point and the Rocks public housing stock; and what felt at times like a revolving door of Fair Trading Ministers.

- 25% increase in advice, information and referral provided by the Tenants’ Union
- 13 public interest matters run
- 596,000 factsheets downloaded from tenants.org.au
- 15% increase in Tenants’ Union income
- 350 people trained in tenancy, residential parks and boarding houses law
- 3,000 posters about tenants’ rights produced and distributed
- TAAS funding continued until 2016
- Research undertaken on the roomshare sector for international students and travellers
- Survey conducted on affordable housing in the rental sector
- Tenant News revamped; 2 new e-publications launched
- Boarding houses education project initiated
