Policy and campaigns

The Tenants' Union works for reform of laws and for policies to make sure renters have more stable, liveable and affordable homes.

Our policy development and advocacy work continues to be both proactive and responsive covering a wide range of tenancy issues including:

  • Aboriginal housing
  • Community housing
  • Family and Community Services (FACS) Housing policy and practice
  • Marginal renters including boarding house law and practice
  • Low income private renters
  • Older tenants
  • Tax and housing
  • Residential Parks

We have a set of priorities for policy and law reform developed in consultation with tenants and Tenancy Advice and Advocacy Services.
